This 1930's full log cabin is surrounded by natural beauty and the retreat is situated overlooking Lake Superior with lake access to 'sunning rocks.' A stream babbles beside the enclosed sleeping porch.
This cabin was built by a well known North Shore craftsman in the 1930's. The logs are honey colored and there are wrought iron fixtures throughout. One family for 5 generations has treasured this place, keeping its vintage character and updating essentials only. Old maps, moose and deer trophies, some family games, books and artwork grace your stay. There is a full kitchen with a fine working Chambers gas stove, including an oven big enough for a medium sized turkey. Living room picture windows give a full lake vista and a good wifi connection is available for steaming on our small flat screen tv. Wildlife is often seen here or nearby. The newly built bike path is just beyond our property.
For your party, there is one bathroom (with shower) between two bedrooms. One bedroom looks out on the lake's North view and has a queen sized bed. There is a full sized bed in the larger bedroom and a a custom built log bunk bed (two twins). Out on the sleeping porch we have a full pull out sofa and another twin daybed. There are corners all around for privacy with a book and one large fireplace for gathering in the living room. There is also a fire pit outside.
