This updated 1920's cabin is surrounded by
natural beauty and the retreat is situated overlooking Lake Superior with lake
access to "sunning rocks".
This vacation cabin is perfect for winter
skiing or summer vacations. It's logs have been lovingly maintained by the
owners and enjoyed over 5 generations.
There is a full updated kitchen, large stone
fireplace, and a brand new bathroom. The windows are huge with a view of the water.
One bedroom has a bunk plus a 3/4 bed and
the master bedroom has a double bed. There is a Daybed
and a sofa bed on the enclosed porch for additional
sleeping. (Weather permitting - late spring, summer &
early fall.)
Amenities: Fireplace-firewood, Phone,
updated Kitchen, Microwave, Dishes, Cooking utensils and linens provided, Full
Bath.
Activities (on site or nearby): On Lake
Superior... Hiking, Biking, Fishing, Hunting, Restaurants,
Live Theater, Downhill Skiing, Cross Country, and Skiing.
Lutsen ski hill is 2 miles away as is the 18
hole golf course and alpine slide. Cross country skiing can take you from the
ski hill right to the cabin.
Superior hiking trail is on the other side of
Highway 61. A peregrine falcon nesting place is near by and Temperance River
(shown at left) is close by.
Grand Marais is 18 miles further down the
highway where a number of artists spend creative hours. The gunflint trail
starts in Grand Marais and the boundary water canoe trips in the area are
legendary. |
